Hello Everyone,

Just thought to drop this few lines so we can all know and understand more about the concept of advertising, even before we advertise.

It has come to knowledge that most brands want to advertise. I mean everyone gets excited, once they hear “Adverts”, the common knowledge or impression is that your business or brand will make more money once you advertise.

But is that correct?

Let’s find out.

Economic Times defines it as, “Advertising is a means of communication with the users of a product or service. Advertisements are messages paid for by those who send them and are intended to inform or influence people who receive them.

Advertising is always present, though people may not be aware of it, and uses every possible media television, print, radio, press, internet, direct selling, hoardings, mailers, contests, sponsorships, posters, clothes, events, colours, sounds, visuals and even endorsements, to get its message through”.

This simply means that the role of brands or businesses in using adverts is simply to pass the message of their brands across to their expected audience.

Now we know that the most important aim of advertisers is not to make money, but rather to pass the message of their brands and businesses to their audience.

So would we say this statement is entirely correct……we will find out in subsequent posts…..
